Sew Frisco has had the privilege of creating various immersive activations centered around our love for iron on patches and embroidery. 

Each activation curated to enhance the experience of attendees as well as highlighting the stories of our many partnered hosts.

Union Square Business Alliance 2025

In collaboration with the Union Square Business Alliance for the downtown revitalization project we created over 300 embroidery kits distributed over 4 workshops free to the public at the San Francisco Powell Street cable car turn around. The kits featured hand drawn stick and stitch embroidered images inspired by San Francisco iconic tourist locations.

Fine Arts Museum Legion of Honor 100 Celebration

In collaboration with the Legion of Honor we created over 500 embroidered patches that were offered free to attendees. Each recipient was able to pick one of 5 custom tailored designs to have ironed down to a complimentary tote bag.

Fine Arts Museum Christmas Ornaments 2024

A fun interactive workshop held within the museum walls in their ceramic gallery. Attendees were guided through an intimate tutorial stitching together their own holiday ornament.

Fine Arts Museum DeYoung Nightlife 2024

In partnership with the museum and Soho House we curated 4 new interactive patches attendees were able to decorate and color for their own momentum of the nights festivities.

Fine Arts Museum DeYoung Opening 2023

As part of the 2023 Locals Opening we designed an created 4 unique patches that honored the energy of local art within the Bay Area. Each attendee was able to pick one of the curated patches and have it heat set onto a complimentary tote bag provided by the museum.

Homie Are My Heroes Mending Skills 

Sharing my love of hand sewing and mending skills this workshops was in collaboration with community Artivist Nancy Pili through Mission Cultural Center. Attendees received a complementary starter mending kit built from repurposed sewing supplies. Attendees learned the basic stitches for hand mending loved clothing items, fix buttons and repair zippers.

Paseo Artistico 2020

One of our very first community workshop in collaboration with Paseo Artistic and Accion Latina. Attendees were able to hand sew their own iron on patches through a guided workshop with beginner stitches. All materials were included in a take home kit.
